Defining the same SSID in multiple groups, does that mess with roaming at all?
I have an SSID that I have defined in several groups and just realized that I only enabled 802.11r on one of the SSIDs. Would that have prevented 802.11r from working across them?

Hi @mackworth,
802.11r reduces the time needed for a device to transition to an AP that supports 802.11r. This time reduction results from fewer frames being exchanged with the AP prior to data transfer. By decreasing the time before data transfer when the device roams from one AP to another, the connection quality is improved for latency sensitive applications, such as an active Skype call.
It is suggested to enable the 802.11r on all SSIDs, preventing the roaming issue occurs across them.
