SFP WAN offline, although in reality it is online
Hello community,
since the last but one OC200 update (SDN 5.11), my WAN connection (ER7206 - SFP WAN) shows that it is offline, although the Internet connection exists and has also received a normal IP address from ISP through the PPPoE connection. I had hoped that the problem would be solved after the last update, but unfortunately this is not the case. Does anyone else have this problem or a solution?

Is the LED indicator of the SFP/WAN port showing a connection?
Within the SDN settings, replace 8.8.8.8 with another dynamic IP address your ISP provided. You can also do a cross-check and log in to the ER7206's web interface to see if it's showing the same offline status. If it shows as online there, then the issue might be with the OC200's communication or interpretation. Checking the logs of both the OC200 and the ER7206, to see if there are any relevant errors or warnings. You can also try to adjust the SFP port of the front-end device to Auto mode.
If they are all not working, backup your configurations for all devices, especially the ER7206, and perform a factory reset, and then reconfigure it to see if it works.

@KyrieM
1. LED Indicators are OFF by default for energy saving
2. I testet many other DNS addresses, without a better result
3.

do you have failover? how many WANs do you have?
failover will turn off the backup wan as offline. if this is your situation.

No. Or is there any other option de-/actvate Backup-WAN?

If i click to "connect", they do nothing, but:
Another question: i have found a "WAN_VLAN" - 1000 in my Omada config.
Is this by default, or is a relict from my "ER605 Time" (Port 1 and 25 (SFP) on my TL-SG2428P as VLAN bridge to connect the ER605 with SFP)?

what did you set in online detection? the echo server in the router settings page. did you modify this?
cannot rule out that your wan is unstable. it literally disconnects and the router reports correctly.
you should do some ping test to WAN and verify if there is any loss.

The offline messages shown in the picture are the direct result of my attempts to recognise the connection as online by clicking on Connect.
The PPPoE session is briefly interrupted (new dial-up), but the online status is not correctly displayed.
Offline message in the log, as well as the display that the SFP-WAN interface is offline. In reality, the PPPoE connection is re-established normally and Internet is immediately available again.

i cannot reproduce what you said on my er605. so you should either report this to the support. or answer my last reply if there is an IP set in the echo server which might relate to this issue.

Unfortunately, I can't answer this question because I have no idea what you mean by the IP of the echo server.
Where do you set this on the OC200?
I think it is a pure SFP problem, so you may not be able to reproduce the problem on the ER605.
