Model: ER7206 (TL-ER7206)
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.1 2022-10-26

Running latest v1.2.1 build 2022/10/26 firmware (official) on my ER7206

This new firmware introduced the updated SHA2 IKEv2 protocols to this model router

Following this guide How to connect to Omada Router using IKEv2 VPN of Android/iOS | TP-Link  i am still unable to connect an Android 13 device to the VPN, even tried selecting a whole range of encryption protocols without success

On my ER605v2 running any firmware release, this guide works 100% and my android devices connect.

Interestingly, on the ER7206, when i have set up the VPN and attempt to connect, i see a spike of CPU usage, but absolutely no log entries to help in figuring out why the connection failed.

I have factory reset and/or reconfigured the IPSec VPN a number of times without any success

Any ideas?

EDIT - am not double NAT, ER7206 is front end direct to modem.  L2TP VPNS to the device are working normally.

  @GRL

In controller mode SHA2 don't work at all. in stand alone SHA2 work only on phase1 not phase2, so everything is as usual, poorly tested firmware.

I have a more about what I have tested in this post https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/565868?replyId=1147082 nobody from tp-link have responded yet.
