Implemented [Request] Omada - Capability to have a different PVID on each Gateway LAN port
Implemented [Request] Omada - Capability to have a different PVID on each Gateway LAN port
Add to Omada the ability to have a different PVID on the different LAN configured ports of a gateway
This is a feature currently available in ER605/ER7206 Routers when managed in standalone mode, but unavailable in Omada management.
This will allow for VLAN and network segregation at the gateway/router level by physical port separation without the need to add a managed switch. This is an often expected capability when dealing with new users online (this forum and Reddit) of the Omada environment.

I'd like to update this feature request here.
Omada Software Controller v5.8 and OC200/OC300 Controller v5.9 has added PVID config for Omada Routers.
Please ensure that both your Omada Controller and Router are updated to the firmware adapted to Controller v5.8 or later version.
Note:
For OC200/OC300 controller v5.9, you may need to manually upgrade the firmware via local access as it is a major firmware upgrade.
FYI, the following router firmware has added support for modifying port PVID in Omada Controller.
ER605 V1_1.2.3_Build 20230413 Beta Firmware For Trial (Released on Apr 14th, 2023)
ER605 V2_2.1.1 Official Firmware (Released on Jan 30th, 2023)
ER7206 V1_1.3.0 Official Firmware (Released on Mar 28th, 2023)
ER7212PC V1_1.0.3 Official Firmware (Released on Mar 21st, 2023)
>> Where to configure the PVID?
Go to Devices, highlight your router and navigate to Ports in the right panel, then edit the specific port to configure the PVID.

Hello, PVID change on the Gateway LAN port is not working for me. When I connect a device to a port that have a different PVID than the default one, it does get the correct VLAN subnet IP address but no communication can get out. Not to the LAN, or to the Internet and even to the gateway itself.
Omada software controller version: 5.9.31
ER605 v2.0 Gateway: 2.1.2 Build 20230210 Rel.62992

@SebD I'd like the second that. A Windows 10 PC will get an IP in the proper vlan and follow the expected behavior, but neither a recent Mac OS X device, nor in my case my DSC alarm system, could get access to the Internet. My Mac wouldn't even get an IP address. Using an ER7206, spent all day chasing this issue. Setting the PVID to 1 restores connectivity, but every device ends up on VLAN 1.

It appears this is not possible on an ER8411 like the other devices. Can anyone confirm? There is no "ports" once you select it as a device.
