Model: SG2008P
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.0 Build 20200608

I am trying to update my switch to the newer 1.0.2 firmware from here:

Download for TL-SG2008P | TP-Link

But the upgrade fails, is there a way to do this upgrade from the cloud instead of manually downloading?

@cbuxton5200

Try going to 1.0.1 first, then 1.0.2, others before has reported this on occasion

Cloud is possible if you have the switch adopted by a controller (software or hardware), the option to upgrade should appear under DEVICES

Philbert is right, you need to upgrade to 1.0.1 first, then 1.0.2.

I'd like to add that this has been stressed in the release notes of the 1.0.2 firmware, it seems to be missed here.
