EAP245v3 versus EAP265 HD
Hello,
so we have a EAP245v3 and a EAP265 HD, which seem to be identical (3x3:3 MIMO for 2.4GHz, 3x3:3 MU-MIMO for 5 GHz)

What is the difference between those access points? What chipset is being used on EAP245v3, which one is used on WAP265 HD?

The main difference is on software feature, compared with EAP245v3, the EAP265 HD extends the number of associated clients from 100 on both 2.4G & 5G to 120 on 2.4GHz, 500 on 5GHz. Nothing different in hardware.

Thanks. 500 concurrent clients for 5 GHz? Is the QCA9982 still capable of this?
(When will the EAP265 be available, roughly?)

To clarify, 500 is the maximum number of 5G clients supported on the EAP265 HD from the software degree. It would be affected by the actual working environment like the client's behavior. So the actual capacity could be smaller than 500, it's suggested to wait until the EAP265 is available on the market (roughly in one month), and check the recommended capacity from TP-Link official website.

Have these suggested capacities been listed yet? I see the EAP265 HD page, as well as the comparison with the EAP245 V3, but no details about suggested client capacity.
The only difference I see is a slightly different 5 GHz CE transmit power rating for the 265 vs 245 V3 and a lower power consumption, on the datasheets.
