@super_alex, you could try the WBS510 firmware. If it's compatible with CPE510, it will be accepted, if not, it will be refused by the CPE510.

@AndreaGU, as I wrote in post #2 you can download the WBS firmware. It can even be installed on CPE510, CPE210 and WBS210.
Pharos firmware is universal firmware for all models and all regions, the only exception are CPE210 V3 and all CPE610 models: those models have a different Pharos firmware.

@R1D2 do you know the difference between CPE510 V3 and V3.20? I couldn't find any information.
And what about the firmware. We can also use the WBS210 v2 firmware for CPE510 - interesting, but not the v3.2 firmware for v3 I guess? How do you know and why can we use just this special WBS210 firmware?

No. TP-Link does not disclose such details.

There is nothing special with Pharos firmware. Any firmware version for WBS and CPE V1 and V2 is identical with each other so far. Just compare the binary files.
Only exceptions are CPE210 >V1 and all CPE610 versions which both use their own firmware files. Albeit CPE610 firmware installs on CPE210/CPE510 and WBS210/510, it does only support 3 out of the 4 RSSI LEDs, so it is not recommended.
I'm not aware that there would be a V3.2 firmware.

By comparing all firmwares (CPE/WBS) which have the same version. If they are identical and there is a newer firmware for any of the models, one can try to update another CPE or WBS with this version.

I found an interesting thing in the firmware file (.bin file)
Open the .bin file with text editor (Notepad++ for example), find text "SupportList" and you will see a list of supported devices.
Here is example of CPE610(UN)_2.0-up-ver2-2-1-P1[20190812-rel33034].bin, almost all models are supported
and then CPE610(UN)_2.0-up-ver2-2-2-P1[20191213-rel42081].bin, only 3 models of CPE610 are supported

@phongtom, albeit CPE610 firmware v2.2.1 can be installed on other models, it won't support the fourth RSSI LED of CPE/WBS. Maybe they did correct it by supporting only CPE610 with this particular v2.2.2 firmware. However, this does not necessarily mean that there won't be a v2.2.2 firmware for other models in the future. Firmware for CPE210 was forked for hardware versions 2 and above, too.
