So... where to start? Until somewhat February all was fine. Looking back, I can't reproduce what went wrong, but I can describe the main issue: connection drops.

All Deco's are lighting green and are happy (wired backhaul). I connect mainly phones and tablets, and of course IOT devices. Whenever I'm on my phone, halfway through a video or game I get a freeze and the device needs reconnecting. Often after 10-30sec I'm reconnected. The tablet I have on my desk is for the security cam (DS723+) and using the Synology software to monitor the surroundings. But after some what time, it's variable, the connection is dropped en the app is closed.

Besides this, I have two laptops, wired and they experience also dropped connections! One laptop is used for a virual desktop and it has become impossible to connect as every couple of minutes it needs to reconnect (most of the time 30sec). Impossible to work like that!

When the issues start occuring, I swapped my Netgear switch for the SG2210MP, but can't see that this caused the issue. Unfortunately, we had a power failure due to the electricity company shutting down all power for maintenance purpose. Could this have something to do with it? My gut says it's in the ER8411, but what? A setting that causes the connections to drop? Out of sync timer?

I just don't get it, but it's driving me crazy! It's so frustrating!

If you need more info, let me know... Your input is appriciated!

Best, Bas

Hi @BasJS

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

Simple enough. If you think it is the ER8411 failing the network, you should connect a computer to it and test if there is any problems with the streaming.

Green light on the Deco means the uplink is fine. Without any further information, I don't think it is the 8411 yet.
