I've got a TL-SG2428P with 4 SFP slots.

Two slots are filled with a TP-Link Gigabit copper modules.

One of these modules is connected to a live device.

The other has no device connected to it.

 

Looking at TL-SG2428P  web app GUI, both ports bear a blue mark.

I would appreciate if the port without any (live) device plugged-in had a different mark.

Steps to reproduce:

 

- fill two non-adjacent SFP slots with SFP copper Gigabit modules

- connect your PC to one of them

- open switch web app

- both SFP ports are displayed with the same blue mark (see attachment) no matter if a live device is connected or not

The port is live regardless if you have a device connected to it or not.

If you output the port status, it can get you one.

@Oliv2831, for me I only see the active link light (physical and in the Omada controller; I don't use the web UI).  I plugged in SFP Copper transceivers in port 26 and 28 and no lights.  When a a device is plugged into port 28, only port 28 appeared active showing a 1000M link.  Port 26 remained dark.  The test was done on a T1600G-28TS v3.0 with two 10GTek 1.25G Copper modules which were listed as TP-Link compatible.

 

Based on the problems you mentioned in this thread, I'm wondering if one and/or both of your SFPs are bad or not 100% compatible.
