Hi, I have another question. You helped me a lot with blocking URLs, but now I need to block apps like TikTok on phones too. So, I want to try OpenDNS, but I can't figure it out. I hope someone can help me. Here's a screenshot of my configuration. It looks quite different from other screenshots I've seen.
Also, I’m not sure if I have a mesh setup, because I adopted both APs, but the mesh info doesn’t show the other AP. Is this normal?

Hi,

As far as I know, Deep Package Inspection shall take care not only of URLs but apps also.

To chek if it's possible go to Settings => Network Security => Application Control => Application List and find there TikTok:

If you would like to block it, you have to go to Rules Management Tab => Create New Rule => Find and select TikTok, setup proper schedule and name your new rule:

Then go to Application Filter => Create New Application Filter and create new filter:

After that go to Deep Package Inspection tab => Create New Assign Restriction => select Network where the filter shall be applied => filter and confirm the changes:

If you just enabled DPI, don't forget to Apply the changes:

Hope it helps :)

To do that you need an Omada router, which router do you have?

 Hi @Alexis0A

Below is a guide:

How to configure DPI on Omada Gateway via Omada Controller

And you need an Omada SDN gateway router, such as ER707-M2

Wish you a happy life and smooth network usage!

@RaRu Hi, thank you for your reply.
Well, I only have two AP, I don't know if it's possible to do that, because I need a Gateway but I can't get that option active.
