WIFI Optimization increasing 2.4 GHz power but also turning off the radio?!?
I was trying to figure out why some wireless clients dropped off the network (a view showing dropped / most recently disconnected clients would be nice) after running a WIFI Optimization last night, and relized I didn't fully understand the results of the optimization. Part of the reason was the coloring of the checks and Xs. Previous/New should be light vs dark, enable vs disable should be green vs red. What a Green check vs a Black check vs a Green X means is not obvious. The other most confusing thing is that Optimization appears to have increased the strength of 2.4 GHz on two APs, but then turned off the 2.4 GHz radio on them as well (which is why clients dropped).
1. Why would it do this?
2. Why would it turn off radios that drop clients - shouldn't part of the optimization be to try and ensure wifi devices are able to connect still?
Note the green "X"s for 2.4 GHz in the bottom two rows, but also increasing from 9=>12 and 9=>19 for 2.4 GHz power:
