Frequently no internet whilst connected to WiFi
Frequently no internet whilst connected to WiFi

Hardware/firmware
ER605 v2.0 / 2.2.6
SG2428LP v1.0 / 1.0.1
EAP653(EU) v1.0 / 1.1.0 (3x)
I have house in which I have an EAP 653 access point on each of the floors (ground/1st/2nd) with a wired connection to a switch. Generally speaking the connection is good throughout the house(close to AP's I am able to achieve 600MBps+). Also devices seem to connect to the expected AP, also when moving through the house. The number of devices connected wireless is limited (<10) and are divided over the AP's .
However, it frequently happens that, even though I have a good connection to the AP (all bars), there is no internet for a short period (30s+) on a wireless device like my laptop or iPhone. During that same period wired devices like the TV and audio streamer seem keep working. This seems to be a common issue as I have found numerous posts on Reddit and the TP-Link forum that showcase similar behaviour, but no clear resolution.
I have already tried the following things to resolve this, but have not found a full solution yet:
- Decrease Tx power of all AP's 5Ghz to Low and 2.4Ghz to the minimum (via custom)(led to improvement)
- Force WPA2-AES and disable PMF
- Enable minimum data rate control and disable CCK rates
- Disable ARP-to-Unicast
- Disabled band steering
- Set DTIM period to 3 (although I am not sure this is supported by my AP's)
- Run WLAN optimization (multiple times). The disadvantage is that optimization keeps pushing the Tx power near to the maximum
- Mesh is disabled
- Fast roaming AI roaming have been both enabled/disabled, but no apparent changes. Currently both are enabled.
I am at my wit's end and don't know what to do further. I thought I had a very simple set-up that I would expect to work out of the box, but I have been testing and trying stuff for two weeks already without a stable wireless connection. Has someone been able to resolve these issues or can point me in the right direction?

This is exactly what I encounter! It happens a few times per day. I have two EAP653 access points, using a software controller and an ER7206 router. My Chromecast 4K does not have this issue and keeps on streaming during an "outage". The same applies for my HP laptop. When it happens, it lasts for, indeed, about half a minute. At the same time, my wifes phone (a Pocophone M3) and my phone (Poco phone X6 Pro) is not having an internet connection during the 30 seconds. The error recovers itself, but still, it's annoying to have 30 seconds "waiting time" a few times a day.
During an outage, I can reach internal devices, but no Internet services. Looks like the routing is temporary messed up. I tried different DNS settings, but this didn't do the trick. I can't see anything weird on the controller: no high wifi channel usage or reprovisioning of an access point for example.
Hope it can be solved....
Exact same issue here, I feel it's a routing issue as internal devices are reachable but not external. I'm on EAP653 also.

@Tha_host did you get any guidance from support? Thanks.

@Siddler See my reply in another thread to see how I solved similar issues. Let me know if it works for you.

Unfortunately not.... TP-Link support checked the logs, but couldn't find anything. They advised me to enable some more logging. I did, but no (additional) events are logged during an "internet outage".
For now, I let it rest, and revoked the rights I have given to TP-Link (they want to be an administrator on the controller, which I actually don't like to have this situation for a longer time...)
