Hello,

 

i did change the management vlan like here https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/2814/

The switch and ap have now the vlan MGMT as you can see.

 

1. But now my question is should the gatway stay in the default network or also move to MGMT network?

    do i need to change the gateway device config?

        1. on the er605 config, on LAN2 PVID change to MGMT ?

 

And the ports on the switch for the ap's and gatway should stay on ALL this is correct?

 

Only the Port where is the controller conneted there i need to use profile MGMT?

Hi @nurix 

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

Management VLAN should include all the networking devices.

This means you have to place the controller and the devices in the same VLAN. It determines how you manage profiles on the port for these devices.

 

 

All profiles are trunk profiles. You can. About the VLAN, you may refer to the guide: Common Questions About 802.1Q VLAN

You are gonna move all the Omada-managed devices to the Management VLAN as your Omada Controller stays in that VLAN. It won't connect/manage any of the devices until they are placed in the same VLAN.

Yes of course i have moved all devices to the MGMT Vlan 4090.

 

And i'm able to configure the devices.

 

But my question is, how and where can i now change the IP adress of the Router/Gateway?

 --> Other question is, is it better for the gateway security to leave it in separated Networks as it is now?

 

For the Gateway i have used the DiscoveryUtility to set only the inform URL 10.0.0.100 (Omada Hardware Controller)

 

The devices have now the following IP adress 10.0.0.* but not the gateway.

 

 

 

Change VLAN/IP from switch

 

Change from AP

 

How to change and where for the Gateway?
