New ER605 fails to connect to Internet
Just acquired a new TP-Link (ER606 Ver:2.6) Router with the intent of using it as a replacement for an aging router presently used to connect my network to the Internet. Followed instructions and connected the ER605 WAN port to the modem provided by my Internet Service Provider (ISP) and attempted to perform what the User Manual refers to as Quick Setup. There was no indication of any error but there was also NO Internet service. The image below shows what was displayed as a result. Would this be where addresses other than 0.0.0.0 ought to appear when connected to the Internet?
The Internet service works as expected then the network cable from the Mosem is unplugged and connedted to my properly functioning router.

default lan ip on ER605 is 192.168.0.0/24 if you have the same network on your ISP router that is connected to WAN on ER605 you will have problems. try changing LAN to for example 192.168.2.1/24 on ER605 see if you then get internet.. it may be a good idea to restart the router after you have changed LAN to force an update of IP on WAN

Hi @Aaeneas
Thanks for posting in our business forum.
1. Reboot the modem.
2. Make sure you have configured the WAN in the proper connection type.
3. If the your modem router provides the same subnet as the ER605 192.168.0.1/24, you are required to change them to avoid overlap.
If none of them work, contact your ISP regarding the modem.

When performing this setup, as instructed, there is nothing connected to the router other than the Internet Service Provider's modem (i.e., no router) and a laptop computer with the ethernet port set to allow it's IP address to be obtained dynamically from the the router (i.e., new ER605). The modem's ethernet port is connected to the main WAN port and the laptop is connected to one of the LAN ports.

Hi @Aaeneas

Screenshot of the WAN IP address on ER605, will it display a proper IP?
Or what's the IP you get from the laptop when you connect it to the ISP modem?

I would say the reason for offering the screenshot is that 0.0.0.0 is not a valid IP address. While this is new to me it made me think that not much of anything happened when I ran what;s called Quick Setup.
Not sure what you mean when saying my laptop is connected to the ISP modem. I connected the laptop to the ER605 Router, which was connected to the modem but looks to me like no IP address was dynamically assigned. The laptop, as instructed, was configured to acquire an IP address via DHCP. I did NOT notice what address was assigned but since it seemed to be functioning properly that must have worked normally meaning 192.168.0.???.
