Model: ER707-M2
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: V1_1.2.1 Build 20240109

After much difficulty getting my PC to talk to my new ER707-M2, the first thing I did was update the firmware. To do that I needed to talk to custommer support because my hardware version is 1.2, but the website offers options for only v1 and v1.6. I have subsequently seen that the available firmware works with either, but there's no way to know that from the website, which demanded I pick an incorrect choice. Upon exploring the GUI preparatory to configuring the ER707, I find that there is no port-forwarding option (there is a port-triggering option). I have--reluctantly--returned my ER707-M2.

To anyone who has trouble finding the firmware.

If your local website does not list the mentioned or seen hardware version, try the global site and search for your model.

https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/er707-m2/#Firmware

Global site is /en/ and you should stay on the global site if it redirects you based on your IP.

Strange enough to say that you don't see the port forwarding option. It is a natively supported function as a router.

Try a different browser or incognito mode without cache and check it again.
