Hi @Tech675
To make the EAP to get internet access, we don't need to configure its IP address. Below is a guide for first time installation:
When setting up a TP-Link EAP access point for the first time, you'll want to follow these general steps to ensure a successful installation:
1. Physical Installation:
1)Install EAP at a proper location to ensure optimal Wi-Fi coverage.
2)Power on the EAP (via included power supply or POE)
2. Connect to the EAP:
Plug EAP into your main router/switch using an Ethernet cable.
3. Initial Configuration:
1)Connecting your computer to the default EAP Wi-Fi (TP-Link_xxxx), access the web interface with default account admin/admin.
2)Follow the on-screen instructions to set up basic configurations such as the SSID (network name), password, and security settings.
3)You may also configure advanced settings such as VLANs, guest networks, and access control rules based on your requirements.
4. Testing:
1)Test the Wi-Fi signal strength and connectivity in different areas to ensure optimal coverage.
2)Verify that devices can connect to the network and access to the internet.
