Model: TL-SG108PE
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version: 1.0.0 Build 20230218 Rel.51358

I am trying to LAG 3 switches together. The setup I have is one switch:

A. TL-SG108PE 5.0 Firmware (1.0.0 Build 20220531 Rel.35386) downstairs with LAG2 on ports 5 and 7 going upstairs to switch:

B. TL-SG108PE 5.0 Firmware (1.0.0 Build 20230218 Rel.51358) also on ports 5 and 7. This LAG works fine I have no issues. I am also trying to LAG this 2nd switch to another switch in the next room that has a log of devices. The 3rd switch is:

C. TL-SG108E 6.0 Firmware (1.0.0 Build 20230218 Rel.50633) LAG1 Ports 3 and 4.

The issue I am having is if I have all 4 cables for the 2 LAGs connected to switch B, then switch B and switch C stop working. Switch A downstairs works fine. As soon as I unplug one of the ethernet cables from switch B, everything works fine. If I disconnect everything and connect cables from B to C first, that LAG works fine. But then when I connect cables from A to B, switch B and C stop working again.

I went in and reset all 3 switches, added the LAGs first and then redid all my VLANs and I'm still getting the same issue. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

Hi @vonwerderc

Turn off the loop detection. Let me know if this fixes it.

  @Clive_A

Attached zip with snips of each switch config and the actual .cfg file. For these snips, the 2nd cable connecting switch B and C is disconnected, because it won't work if both of them are connected.

Let me know if you need any additional information.

Without VLANs, after your reset, set up the LAG, will it work? It could be a problem with the software. I will also check with the dev.

  @Clive_A That worked! For some reason I wasn't getting email notifications, so it took me longer to see this. Thank you! I appreciate you looking into this so quickly.
