Model: EAP245
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 5.1.0

I'm not really sure what happened, all of a sudden my network stopped working this morning. So I upgraded all my devices to the latest firmware and now I'm getting stuck in this adoption loop. With one EAP is seems fine, but when I add the second one in, that's when things go crazy.

Heartbeat fail, Adoption failing, configuring, etc.  It doesn't stop. The controller and router seems to be functioning fine, but the access points are not.  Please help.

Here's what my devices have:

OC200 1.0

1.29.4 Build 20240304 Rel.54362

TLR-605 v1.0

1.3.1 Build 20231207 Rel.61384

EAP 245 v3.0 - two of these

5.1.0 Build 20230104 Rel. 79433

Hi @flyjar

May I know whether the EAP you mentioned are wired EAP, or they are mesh EAP? Have you checked the hardware connection such as changing the cable, using other ports on PoE switch etc?

Furthermore, is it possible to forget/reset one of them and try to adopt them again from the beginning, will it resolve the issue?

  @Hank21

Wired AP

I didn't see why the cable would go bad, but I tried and had the same issue also moved it to a different poe port.

I had tried forgetting and resetting but that didn't work either.

I eventually kept resetting the AP and it finally worked. I rebooted the router and controller as well at some point.

I'm really curious as to how this happened considering I didn't update any firmware or change any settings and it was running perfectly fine. When I started having issues that's when I updated the router and AP's firmware. The controller already had the latest firmware, did that a month ago.

What's also weird is that my PC that is hardwired couldn't get an IP address while I was having the issues.

Conclusion problem solved by upgrading all firmware and forgetting APs. I've been very happy with my Omada setup, but their upgrade process needs some work this isn't the first time I've had upgrade issues, usually problems with the controller or the router, this is the first time the APs were an issue.
