Has anyone tested DHCP 66 and 67 on the ER8411?  Against Windows SCCM and or MDT?

I have the ER7206 working against it and runs perfectly fine.  I want to upgrade my ER7206 to the ER8411, but Imaging PCs is super important.

This will be my dealbreaker.

If no one has, I may just have to buy it and test... do a little R&D.

Thanks,

KG!

Finally got around to swapping out my 7206 with my 8411 and Option 66 does work... with Windows MDT/SCCM.

  @KimcheeGUN

I have an ER8411 running omada controller version 5.13.30.8

And I can confirm that Option 66 doesn't work.  I just banged my head against it all day.  SuperSalty.

Against SSCM/MDT?  Or against the OpenSource PXE boot platform?

idk, all I can tell you is with this hardware and Omada Controller, Option 66 isn't passed through. Confirmed by analyzing the DHCP offer received in linux console. I haven't tried standalone on ER8411 - perhaps it works, perhaps not. There is beta firmware that fixes it floating around here somewhere. Good luck

  @ecovalence

There is a thread around about the next hop/server when it comes to PXE booting from a linux imaging server.  I think they had a beta firmware posted in that thread.

Which is a tad different on how the Windows MDT/SCCM operates.

Yeah, I've read all of them. I'm still waiting on a reply for the "beta firmware": https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/613880?replyId=1340842

Yup... SCCM/MDT doesnt require the next server option.  That is with the Linux PXE boot imaging stuff.

but thanks for the update!
