I been messing with VPN. I wanted to setup wireguard but since I dont have a static IP it will not let me put a host name in for my DDNS. When Setting up OpenVPN I see this error a TON............ Common errors for VPN policies

I get that error when making a new client to site. I get it when I try to Turn off the VPN connection. I get it when Trying to Change settings. like Ips or use account password. Its driving me nuts. I have to reboot the VPN router and controler to even allow me to make a new VPN policy.

This picture is my trying to make a new VPN server. I have zero setup. any clue why i get this unknown error?

  @MR.S

I downgraded like you suggest and I got the same issue. I go to frustrated with this I just factory reset everything and did not restore my backup config and reconfgured everything by hand using the same settings I shown you and it is all working now even with updating the firmware back. Maybe I some odd setting but I am happy its working now. Thanks MR S. for helping me troubleshoot this.

Try change ip pool to 192.158.50.0/24

Hvat router do you have and what version on firmware?

if it is ER605v2 there is a beta you can try. 2.1.4 Build 20230727 Rel.40308

you find it under routers on this formum, I try to create a openvpn server on a ER605v2 and this was no problem or error.

I got it to save the settings with errors. Not sure how I did that but now I have different issue. When my laptop connects to the VPN. It looses all networking and can not even ping anything on the same subnet.  here are some pictures. Let me know what you think. When my laptop connects to the VPN the connection does not get the DHCP range I want it to have. In so confussed.

These are the devices. Router says its v2.6 on the bottom.

VPN settings. This is on the same subnet as my main network.

try downgrading to version 2.1.4 the version 2.2.0 you are using was withdrawn because it had too many bugs,

You find 2.1.4 in this thread

https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/615998

Then set up VPN on its own subnet, use 10.168.50.0/24 or somthing on VPN IP POOL
