What's the hardware version of your EAP660 HD?

Thank you for your inquiry. Sorry that I have no idea when the firmware of other EAP devices like EAP653 or EAP660HD will be provided for early access right now. When it's available, I'll update this post for your attention.

  @Fae

I noticed similar issues like Kash01976.

Right now I'm waiting for my iPad to connect to my EAP225-Outdoor, it sicks to the EAP670 indoor, which is definitely out of range, iPad is connected with 2,4GHz and only one signal indicator.

Sitting next to the outdoor AP my iPhone has full signal strength on 5GHz, after turning Wi-Fi on and off. The iPad doesn't connect automatically since about 20 minutes.

Also got the same issue with the EAP670 and an EAP615-Wall, client sicks till the connection is cut manually.

  @Philldu

I need to report that yesterday I noticed a sudden drop in the 2.4 GHz signal, recovering only with the restart of the EAP670 V1 device.

I don't use AI optimization, as if I remember correctly in another Firmware Beta implementation, it kept causing constant disconnection with EAP670 V1 to the point of having to start all over again and with Firmware RTM.

I still have doubts, because I realize that the lack of the 80Hz channel has a huge influence on the 2.4 GHz signal.

Regarding the 2.4GHz drop you mentioned, do you mean that you cannot pick up the 2.4GHz signal on any device even if you are next to the EAP670? Or you mean that you can connect to the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi but the connection speed will drop to a lower rate? You may continue to observe the network and report back in the forums. But I have a feeling that it may not a firmware issue but a common 2.4GHz interference issue. The following post included some high-quality and detailed posts about Wi-Fi knowledge for your reference.

About AI optimization resulted in constant disconnection issue you mentioned, the root cause is the weather radar channels, you can check the following solution post for details, and the 1.0.11 Beta firmware provided in this thread has fixed it.

EAP650 | EAP670 May Fall Into Adoption Loop or Stuck in Disconnected State [Updated on Aug 4th 2023]

As for your doubt that the lack of the 80MHz channel has a huge influence on the 2.4GHz signal. If you know that the frequency range of 2.4GHz is from 2,402MHz to 2,483MHz, you will understand the channel width of 2.4GHz cannot reach 80MHz, 2.4GHz can only have two channel widths: 20MHz and 40MHz. In addition, the wider channel width can bring faster data rate, higher network bandwidth, but the wider channel width also means more frequency resources are occupied and it may increase the wireless interference. In most cases, the 2.4GHz channel width is not as wide as possible, and 20MHz will be suggestion especially when there is reliability issue. If you have any further doubts or questions, I'll still encourage you to start a new thread for a topic from here.

Here are some articles for your reference, you can also search on the internet to learn more about 2.4GHz, channel width, and the downside of wider channel width.
