Sorry if I wasn't clear - I see AI WLAN Optimization screen, but I don't see the options to enable\disable per band that used to be in the area I circled in red here:
 

There were checkboxes to select\deselect 2.4Ghz, 5Ghz and 6Ghz which I used to have the optimization run only on 2.4Ghz and leave the 5Ghz on my manual settings.

I've disabled AI WLAN Optimization until I can figure this out.

It looks like this firmware update has been pulled back ... as I'm not having any real issues with the newer update outside of this minor inconvenience (which I haven't confirmed is local to me or a broader situation) I'll keep an eye out for a more official notice as to if I should downgrade to avoid more problems or if a newer release will be forthcoming soon.

I have a bit crowded neighborhood with 2.4Ghz - like pretty much everywhere you can't avoid it unless you're far away from other people; not just APs but devices broadcasting wifi to be setup - some devices broadcast their own SSID for wifi setup and won't stop until they are setup and often can't be turned off otherwise (looking at you LG stove and Samsung soundbar and 2 neighbors' HP printers).

A few of the pinned topics in these forums mentioned letting auto run for 2.4Ghz to help with that crowding. I never noticed any realworld problems as I don't have heavy load on the 2.4G band so I ran it once a week and daily for awhile and noticed daily was overkill but weekly wasn't often enough so I left it running daily. As far as the Optimization logs say, it's making a 10-20% improvement every 5 days or so with a channel change; the rest are 1-5% usually from a minor power level change. I don't know that it's really necessary but it's available and might be helping so I let it run.

I don't use the auto on 5Ghz because those channels aren't crowded around me. I tried auto for a bit and it seemed to make odd selections so that also pointed me towards just leaving it set manually. Again, I followed some of the pinned topics to help pick settings based on others' good advice here.

That's why I'm not too worried about leaving it off - it's not critical but it's a funtion I liked having so I hope it's addressed; though I still haven't heard if my experience is a bug or design. I'm also not experiencing the other problems others do and would rather avoid downgrading process so I'm hoping Omada will sort it out soonish.
