Model: OC200
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.9.3

I adopted the new TL-SG3452P switch with the OC200 controller. Everything was great, except the switch had a dhcp IP address of 192.168.112.101.  I attempted to change the switch's IP from dhcp to a static IP address of 192.168.112.2 from my IPhone Omada app v4.7.18 and the status in the Omada controller v.5.9.32 build 2.9.3 continues to report "Adopting" and I have no insight to the wired portion of the network.

Comcast cable DOCIS 3 Netgear C7800 gateway, dhcp server, 192.168.112.1

JetStream TL-SG3452p v3.20.4, was 192.168.112.101, now not reachable

Omada OC200 controller v2, v.5.9.32, 192.1687.112.3

five EAP225 v3, v.5.1.0, 192.168.112.46-49

one EAP620HD v1, v1.1.0, 192.168.112.43

one EAP255-Outdoor v1, v5.1.0, 192.168.112.44

I attempted to connect to the serial port usine Windows Hyper Termminal to reset the switch to default, but the instructions say to use hyper terminal (Win 7) to connect to the serial port of the swithc. We only have Win 10 and WIn 11. I attempted to use Putty with no success.

Question:

1. can you reset the switch to be manually config'ed without Hyper Terminal?

2. Can you force the re-adoption of the switch to Omada managment?

Hi, can you still see Config on the controller if you click on the switch?

If so, you can click Forget to get the switch back to the standalone page.

If not, only through the console port to do the reset.

Suggest you check if there is another client using the IP 192.168.112.2, maybe an IP conflict.

Great guidance.  I had trouble using Putty to reset the switch to default with both the serial and USB cables.  Th e https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/3146/ recommendation to use the TP-Link USB console driver and Tera Term emulator s/w was my missing portion of the solution to resest the switch. thanks for getting me the solution on the 1st reply.

The switch took a dhcp address of 192.168.112.101, like before.  I would prefer it to be a static IP address, of unused addresses of 192.168.112.2, 192.168.112.8 or 192.168.112.14 to conform to our standards. I see how to do this through the Omada App, but I am hesitant to attempt this again.
