I'm trying to use option 138 to manage devices on different subnet than the controller. All switch and AP's work, Router does not.

Router - ER7206v1.0 version 1.2.3 IP - 192.165.1.1

Switch - TL-SG2210P v3.2 version 3.20.7 IP 192.165.1.2

AP's (all the same) - EAP235-Wall(US) v1.0 version 3.1.0 - IP's 192.165.1.11 - xx.xx.1.15 (5 total)

Controller IP - 192.165.10.3

Mgmt Lan has Option 138 set to 192.165.10.3 - prior to this none of the devices would connect.

Now all except the router connect. I've restarted the router. I've done a hard reset of the router. All these devices were just moved from another different controller as i'm moving from windows pc controller to container in unraid. I did not do a migration of settings since i was making major changes to the overall site setup / config. I forgot the devices from the old controller and adopted them into the new controller.

Container: mbentley\omada-controller

If i move my unraid server into the mgmt lan (xx.xx.10.x) IP range it all adopts and connects fine. I prefer to not have my unraid in the infra network if at all possible.

Is this a bug in the ER7206? Something else wrong here? I'm no networking wizard but this seems pretty straight-forward considering the other devices all connect ok.

for anyone else trying to do this, option 138 appears to be targetted at dhcp clients, switches and AP in my case. ended up using the discovery utility to solve the problem. controller inform wasn't an option since i had already managed the router at one point

edit: i believe this is currently built on the 5.7.4 version of the controller software
