Hello All.

I just got a new EAP610-outdoor US 1.20 (both the box lavel and the backplate of the AP itself say V1.20

The thing is my Omada controller (SW, linux ubuntu) is seeing the EAP610-outdoor as a v1 and says I can update to fw 1.0.6 for the v1 hardware.

I checked the TP link site (both us, en and ar geos) for this ap and v1.2 has no FW downloads yet, only v1 has available Firmware files.

Is it safe to update this v1.2 to the V1 firmware like the controller wants ?

No worries. EAP610-Outdoor v1 and v1.20 use the same firmware, you can update the v1 firmware.

For EAP610-Outdoor, V1 and V1.2 share the same firmware, upgrading firmware won't change the hardware version, that is, upgrading the v1 firmware on v1.2 won't make its hardware change to v1. If you don't find the firmware under EAP610-Outdoor v1.2, you can check it from v1.
