Hi, ive been thinking of a configuration that will work best when using Omada SDN but from beyond another NAT with all features available.

ISP -> Different Brand Firewall -> ER7206 -> LAN.

Is this possible ?

Thanks!

  @Jeesoon1 Yes, that is called double nat.  While it is not recommended to NAT twice it should work fine in most situations.

  @Jeesoon1 Multiple NAT meaning having more than one WAN IP address tied to a single interface or something else?

  @Jeesoon1 I am running a double nat setup ISP>>LinuxFW>>ER605>>switch>>

The Linux firewall (IPFIRE) is doing the NAT from there I have a static route to the ER605's WAN port, that is were the second NAT takes place.

On the LAN ports of the switch my DHCP clients get an internal IP address..

from the 605.

You have to open ports on the 605, if you want to access your internal devices line a NAS, game server or webserver from outside the network.

Hope this helps.

  @Jeesoon1 I think that is available in standalone mode.

I feel like I read a recent post stating here it was on the roadmap for the controller as well but I can't find that now that I am looking for it. indecision

  @Jeesoon1 If I understand your question the setup was pretty basic before adding the Linux Firewall creating the double nat.

yes, i was kindly puzzled about using those port forwarding and public ips. so the linuxfw is the one still setting up those things.
