Model: EAP225
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.4.0

I have a couple of EAP225s connected to a Omada controller. I have run into an issue were the Ethernet cable sometimes comes loose (not POE) from the WAP and it will then, of course, not be able to connect any devices to the network. It continues to broadcast the radios so clients will attempt to connect to the AP because the signal is best. Is there a way to have the WAP disable the radios if it is not able to reach the Omada controller? From what I understand, there is already a heartbeat process that causes the Omada to take the WAP offline, but it seems like the WAP just keeps going even if it cannot connect to the Omada controller.

  @at5147 As a workaround, could you use a POE injector instead ot a power supply?  That way if the cable pulled use it would take the power with it.

  @at5147

In my opinion, can not do this.

If the EAP is not able to communicate with the controller, it will say Disconnected, and even you change the wireless settings on the controller, but controller can not assign the file to a disconnected EAP.

Just striving to develop myself while helping others.
