MC220L media convertor
Dear All,
I have two MC220L media convertor and i want to connect one 5mp Camera with a switch which is 700m away from the camera i will use 8core single mode OM3 fiber cable and 2 MC220L media convertor one at the camera side and one at the switch side. My question is which SFP should i use at both side in this media convertor and what should be the fiber patch cord type e.g SC-LC or LC-LC on both side.

@Eng_khan You can use TL-SM321A and TLSM321B in a pair.
The fiber/cord type depends on the SFP module. For example TL-SM321A/B use Single-Mode Fiber, LC Simplex

@Somnus Dear really appreciate your support and info you send. just one question being newbie .......if i splice the single mode fiber at both end what type of connecter should i use in the TB (ODB Box) so LC-LC patch cord can be accomodated in it.

@Eng_khan LC-LC patch cord, see the SFP module picture, there is only one LC port.
TL-SM321A supports WDM so only requires one fiber.

@Somnus Great so nice of you for the help. But will this one fiber both transmit and receive. Also if i want to use say 10 cameras with 10 media converter with 10 SFP's in them..... since all cameras are in different location.......but at the NVR side instead of using 10 media converters can i use some other device that can accommodate all the 10 SFP plus give me 1 or 2 lan ports also.

@Eng_khan Yes, WDM means the module can transmit and receive at the same time. You can also consider TL-SM311LS that one use two fibers(one transmit one receive)
