Omada Controller 5.0.15 Adopting & Provisioning loop
Hello everyone, After the Omada Controller Update to 5.0.15, most of our sites have the following problem: All APs in the site are in an Adopting & Provisioning loop. I don't know how to end it Restarting the controller or the entire server on which the controller is installed did not help. No clients can log in in this state. The problem affects the EAP225 and EAP245.

@shberge, hi. Can you please clarify your setup / topo? Do you have fw in between AP and controller?
Did you open port for what traffic direction?

If you have access point in a remote site then you ned to open /nat in 29814 in to controller in addition to the old port TCP 29811-29813 + UDP 29810
so new port is TCP 29811-29814 and UDP 29810

An update for this case:
The issue can be resolved by disabling the AI Roaming feature, which was followed up and updated in this thread.
Thank you for your attention!

As an update to my situation, I switched to the Linux Omada Controller on Ubuntu and the adoption loop problem went away. On 5.0.29 on Server 2022 the problem was still present, 5.0.29 on Ubuntu the problem was gone!

Have you received the email from TP-Link support team?
If your controller v5.0.29 hasn't uninstalled on your Windows Server 2022, I'll suggest you send the backup file and Log (generated when the issue happens) to the support team for further investigation.

Hi!
I have seen this issue occur on 5.0.15, 5.0.27, 5.0.29 and now that I have updated to 5.0.30, it still occurs.
I have the controller running at home on a PC that's always on. Everytime I have to reboot for an update and I restart the controller it spends a lot of time seemingly adopting / provisioning my APs in loop. It happens now as I type but it does not seem to affect connection as the controller is a separate machine than the router and, the APs seem to stay provisionned or, at least, they do not disconnect clients.
I would be happy to provide any logs or whatever might help the engineering team figuring out this one. Just let me know and point me to the info that might be needed.
