Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 20210512

Hello TP-Link Engineers

I've read this following notification:

Since I already have upgraded to version 1.1.0 Build 20210512, Can I revert it back to the previous build?

Hi All,

Recently we received some feedback that upgrading the ER605/ER7206 firmware to 1.1.0 Build 20210512 may lead to adoption failure issue, basically, unplugging the power to restart the router can fix the issue, but we also found that people may choose to reset all devices directly, which would bring much trouble to the whole network.

To improve the upgrade experience and avoid affecting your network during the upgrade, the ER605/ER7206 firmware 1.1.0 has been temporarily withdrawn from the TP-Link official website. The R&D team is fixing the problem urgently and strives to release a new official firmware as soon as possible.

If you have already upgraded the firmware 1.1.0 and it works well now, you could keep using it. But if you haven’t upgraded the firmware 1.1.0, it’s suggested to wait for the new firmware release.

Sincerely sorry for any trouble caused. Thank you for your support and trust as always.

@EnzoConqueror

If no any problem when using 1.1.0 firmware, just keep it alone cause 1.1.0 firmware fixes some bug that exit on 1.0.1, just like Linkback up cannot work. Also 1.1.0 add the feature that can set up IP range for different VLAN. The bad experience seems to occur when you are using the controller.

But of course, we can downgrade back to the old firmware version into 1.0.1

using version 1.1.0 (beta) I note I can now enable IPv6 and have it working with BT internet FTTP, however I note on the system log that every second, it seems to be dialing a pppoe connection from IPV6

ie

ID Time Module Level Content
1 2021-06-25 16:54:15 IPV6 NOTICE WAN: IPv6 PPPoE dialing succeeded. (IPv6=/64, Gateway=fe80::22e0:9cff:fe6e:4401, DNS=.)
2 2021-06-25 16:54:14 IPV6 NOTICE WAN: IPv6 PPPoE dialing succeeded. (IPv6=/64, Gateway=fe80::22e0:9cff:fe6e:4401, DNS=.)

4 2021-06-25 16:54:12 IPV6 NOTICE WAN: IPv6 PPPoE dialing succeeded. (IPv6=/64, Gateway=fe80::22e0:9cff:fe6e:4401, DNS=.)

'Also 1.1.0 add the feature that can set up IP range for different VLAN"

I am running ER7206 with beta 1.1.0. I see no IP range when selecting the VLAN option from the controller:

What is the difference between interface and vlan?

Thank you

@Fae

Hello there I tried to update using the latest release but it seems it gives me unstable connection during Zoom meetings. So I just reverted back to the previous firmware version which is much stable. Thanks
