Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Comcast internet 600meg San Francisco. When connecting directly to the modem with my laptop I get about 570meg. Once I add the router and connect the laptop to the Lan port, speed test shows a bit over 200Meg. Either case there's nothing else connected to the network just one laptop. No firmware upgrades just out of the box config. Close to 2/3 speed drop doesn't make sense. Any guidance to address would be appreciated.

@shamsedin

Hey

I would check that the connection between your ISP router and the R605 is reading as 1GBPS first

If that is OK then check that  "Hardware Offload" is enabled

There is a new firmware update for that device..    v1.01 and was released quite recently (I have the same device)
