OC200 1.74 and SDN Controller & "Cloud Controller"
I followed the upgrade guide for SDN for the OC200.
My OC200 is FW 1.74. FW 1.74 is no longer, or maybe never was, available on the download site. Why not?
In SDN, I attempted to add a site by importing the backup file from the OC200 in my test lab. It said it was not compatible? Sounds like a 1.74 issue or SDN issue?
Can I downgrade the OC200 firmware (lose all site info) and will that then work with SDN? I see conflicting reports about downgrading?
Why can't I download a backup file from the OC200 older firmware except as "with local user logon"? Why not? That totally defeats the purpose of SDN in my mind as I can't upgrade from OC200 to SDN without going to the client location.
Also in SDN, even with autobackup turned on and a USB connected to the OC200, I don't see a way to download the backup file. Why not?
SDN doesn't really do me any good as I have all OC200 controllers and EAPs. I can launch all the OC200s from the cloud with admin/operator credentials.
The "real cloud controller" is "coming soon". I remember the same wording for SDN. Any idea when the "real cloud controller" will be available that does not require an OC200? The OC200 is another $$$ of perhaps soon to be obsolete hardware.
Overall, I am very pleased with the Omada line, have many deployments and am really looking forward to a true cloud controller without the OC200.
Thanks
