Virtual Servers/Port Forwarders
Our business currently uses a Netgear ProSafe VPN Firewall SRX5308. We do not use the VPN aspect of it (although I have considered it). We do, however, use a lot of port forwarding to different computers/servers. Around 20.
We are looking to replace this unit, and am wondering what might be the best option in TP-Link. I am thinking the TL-ER6020 (we only have about 30 computers total).
I am wondering how many virtual servers are allowed on these newer routers. I am currently testing an older TP link and it maxed out at 16 (I had to limit RDP sessions for a day or two)
Thanks for any assistance!
Kind regards,
K2

Thank you for the information. Is this now standard with most of the routers that TP-LINK carries (the one I am testing is older and maxes out at 16 VPNs).
I find it interesting that I am unablet to locate this information in the doucmentation. I am researching a replacement and have it narrowed down to one of the TP-Link units.
kind regards,

For the TP-Link VPN routers, the new version support 32(or more) virtual servers.
While Load balance router TL-R470T+/TL-R480T+ has only 16.

Thank you so much for the information. The one I am testing is a load-balancing router (old one at that). It was one I had laying around at home.
We ordered a TL-ER6120. It looks like a perfect replacement for the Netgear ProSafe.
Again, thanks for the info!
