Hi,

I've just installed this load balance router just for failover should my NBN connection (Australia) go down.

I did testing an wan swapped to WAN2 when I turned of WAN1. All good.

But during the day I noticed WAN2 came on alongside WAN1. Checking syslog, I can see an error message on WAN1 : DHCPCv6 Solicit/Discover Timeout.

So my question is: Even though WAN1 IPV4 is OK, would a timeout of IPV6 be viewed as a WAN1 failure and failover to WAN2?

For TP-Link loadbalance router, its link backup function is based on online detection feature. Online detection will ping a specific IP address or use DNS lookup, to check the WAN status. When the primary WAN status is offiline, the backup WAN would take effect. So DHCPv6 timeout should be not the key.

PS: you can set up online detection function.
