You define the uplink from the switch to the router as a trunk link and use the router to set up Inter-VLAN routing.

However, using Inter-VLAN routing on the switch itself would avoid to have to send traffic forth and back to the router.

@10148576, you need at least basic knowledge of routing and VLANs. I suggest you search the Web for online courses how to do Inter-VLAN routing on routers (not on the T1600G switch, one-armed routing has to be done on your router).
