ER6020 (Router) and T1600G-28PS (PoE-Switch) - DHCP configuration
I use an ER6020 (router) and a T1600G-28PS (switch).
The modem (with a static IP) from the internet service provider depends on port 1 (WAN) of the router.
The T1600 hangs on post 5 (LAN) of the router.
I want to operate the network in the 172.16.10.0/24 area.
I want a fixed IP address for the router and switch.
My questions:
What is the correct configuration? (Enter which values where?)
On which device do I activate the DHCP server and with which settings / values?
On which device do I set up the VLAN?
Is there a guide or example of how to set it up correctly?

T1600G-28PS and ER6020 both use 192.168.0.1/24 as default IP address.
You can set up static IP for your PC like 192.168.0.100/24. Then connect your PC to T1600G-28PS and access 192.168.0.1/24 to manage T1600G-28PS. Change its IP address to 172.16.10.x/24. Then you will lose management web.
Then connect your PC to ER6020, change the PC IP address to dynamic. Then ccess 192.168.0.1/24 to manage ER6020. Change it's LAN IP to 172.16.10.x/24, you will lose management web as well. You can try to replug PC to make it re-get IP address.
You can set up VLAN and T1600 and ER6020. They both support VLAN.
You can check UG to find where to set IP address from router and switch.

Thank you for your prompt reply
My configuration:
ER6020:
Port 1 (WAN) : Modem from the ISP with static IP 5.10.175.145
Port 5 (LAN) : T1600G
The IP-Address is 172.16.10.1 (static)
T1600G:
Port 24 (LAN) : ER6020
IP-Address: 172.16.10.2 (static)
My question now:
On which device do I now activate the DHCP server (router or switch)?
When I activate the DHCP server on the switch, what are the settings for:
- Network address
- Default gateway
- Next server address
I thank you for the answers today.
greeting
Daniel

Thanks so lot.
I have now set everything up so far.
VLAN 1 (default)
Router: 172.16.10.1
Switch: 172.16.10.2
Now I have set up two VLan's.
I followed the instructions you suggested.
VLAN20: 172.16.20.0/24
VLAN30: 172.16.30.0/24
Computers in the VLANs can only communicate with each other.
Another VLAN cannot be accessed.
That's what I wanted.
If I now want to access a NAS from both VLANS, does the NAS have to be in the default VLAN?
Or is access from the VLAN20 to a NAS in the VLAN30 possible? If so, what is the correct routing?
I thank you and stay
Sincerely yours
Daniel

You can add VLAN interface for all VLANs. Then you can access NAS from different VLANs. We call this as inter-VLAN routing. But other devices also can access each other. So you need to create ACL to deny some access.
ACL configuration guide: https://www.tp-link.com/us/configuration-guides/configuring_acl/?configurationId=18222#_idTextAnchor001
For example, set a ACL rule make VLAN10 cannot access VLAN20 through deny the VLAN10's IP address to VLAN20's IP address. You still need to set a ACL to allow ALL other traffic otherwise other traffic will be block. Set source IP as 0.0.0.0/0 and destination IP as 0.0.0.0/0, mode as allow. "allow ALL" ACL should be in the end of ACL list.
