Model: OC200
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Not sure if it is just a mistake on the website, or if there is actually something that is different for the OC200 in different countries, but the US, UK and DE region page for OC200 lists newer firmwares than some of the local ones, like SE and DK. There is even a difference between SE and DK, where DK has the oldest of them all.

Is it fine to install the UK downloaded firmware on the OC200 if you are in the EU region?

@jishi, yes, OC200 is universal firmware (UN), which means that it's the same for all regions. Sometimes, local TP-Link support sites are not updated that often. It's best to use the online check for new firmware in OC200 under »Controller Settings → Maintenance«. Current firmware version on my OC200 is 1.2.0 Build 20190823 Rel.42002 which is Omada Controller V3.2.3.

Okay, thanks for the answer. Do you need to have a cloud-linked OC200 for the update check to work correctly? Because apparently that check returns a "General Error" (I'm getting this info 2nd hand)

Don't think so. If I unbind my OC200, it stil checks for firmware (responding with »Your firmware is up-to-date.«). But IIRC »General Error« during communication with an Internet server could be caused by Omada Controller not being able to determine the MAC address for localhost (127.0.0.1). Just a guess, I never had this problem; it's from 2nd hand info, too. :-)

Update: re-binding my OC200 to the cloud didn't ask for password, so could be that cloud access is indeed needed for firmware update check. Can't factory-reset my device at the moment to find out, sorry. But why not bind it to the cloud?

Uhm, there seems to be more confusion on TP-Link's support sites/online firmware updates:

Online firmware update says no new version, according to the cloud page latest firmware is:

But actually there is a new one on the german support site with the same old version number with different release date.

Download from here, release notes are here:

Previous version (note the same version number) was:

So only build time or release number can be used to identify the newest firmware. After manual upgrade I get from the cloud page:

It seems that this latest firmware version is even not available yet through online update.

I think, official roll-out of Omada Controller 3.2.4 has just started.
