EAP320 Slow Wifi with QualComm QCA61x4A Wifi Cards
Hello,
We have a strange situation.
We have one EAP 320 V2, on the latest firmware, with the latest controller software.
It works good, with tablets, Iphones, laptops, speeds are normal.
We get about 40-50 MBps down , so quite good.
Except... 1 model laptop (we own 7 of them), a Dell 5579, with a Qualcomm QCA61x4A card in them.
There we see speeds like 6 MBPS down, 22 UP. The driver is the latest from Dell. We tried other drivers too from Dell.
Does anyone have a clue why this is so slow?
Band steering is on, on the EAP320, Airtime Fairness is not.

Hi,
Does this model laptop works well with other AP or wireless router? How did you test the speed, by speedtest? Did you enable rate limit function in Controller?
We will check this issue in local lab. Any update, we will keep you informed.

Hello,
The speedtest is in fact done by speedtest.net
Cabled network gives me about 70-80 MBps.
Rate limit is not enabled on the EAP.
I will test this laptop with another type of Wireless router, i have a TP-Link 8200 spare laying around.
Second test I will do, is boot it with a Linux , connect to the Wifi and do the speedtest then.
So I know its driver/hardware related.
Kind regards

Hi Kockel,
Thank you for your reply!
Do you mean you have fixed this slow speed issue by upgrading the Window 10 OS to 15063.447?

I had a similar problem. My PC (Big tower) got a problem with WI-Fi (he has it too). I did a reboot, and again that problem. I reinstalled Windows, and the problem has not disappeared. I have looked that topic that was mentioned about earlier, and that didn't work either. Then my good friend advised to buy a new one, I searched a lot in the web and found on one site some good suggestions about wireless cards. Bought a new one from Amazon, by the way it was good and still works. Thanks to that topic anyway, it gave me some new ideas.
