I agree also, I am astonished that you can't change the channel width on the 2.4ghz band it's something fundamental even the likes of Apple are recommending.

I notice there is the option to change channel width for 5GHz but no option for 2.4GHz and I'm starting to suspect it's causing problems for some devices on my network but can't turn it off to test....
