I bought this for my home to boost connectivity. I have a Comcast provided Arris tg862G/ct modem. I connected the eap225 to the modem by Ethernet. I can see the TP-Link and connect wirelessly BUT it's open and not secure. I want to password protect access & require that all connecting devices access using that password.

I installed discovery and controller. controller does not display the ssid I setup.

Thanks,

sallyw

If you set up the EAP in stand-alone mode and then adopt it by a controller (which you don't need at all with only one EAP), then stand-alone settings of the EAP get overwritten by controller settings. Either set the WiFi password using the controller in managed mode or use the stand-alone mode for the EAP, but don't mix those modes if you want settings to be permanent. See the User's Manual for an explanation and also for how to set up WPA keys in managed mode on a controller.

Resolved by calling TP-Link support and allowing remote assistance.
