CPE510(EU) v1.1 will not connect to CPE510 v1.1

So I just got a brand new CPE510(EU) v1.1, which will not - under any circumstances - connect to 3 older CPE510s v1.1 (one at a time in the simplest AP -> Client configuration) without the (EU) next to their name in both the sticker and the boxe's sticker description.
One thing i also found puzzling is apart from this one being sourced from Poland (the others from Germany) is that during initial setup I did not get to choose a region (neither is it evident in the wireless setup page) so I suppose it's the variant where this has been disabled in hardware since upgrading this to v.2.0.0 made no difference. Also the DFS selection is gone (using it on all others)..
Symptoms: Survey works fine, detects all the APs as one would expect, acquires channel of the AP but will not connect - it just stays there sending a few Tx frames every 5', receives nothing at all. SNR in all cases well above 30dBm so I doubt this is the culprit.
What do you suggest I do?

DFS is mandatory for 5 GHz outdoor channels in the EU, so it makes no sense to be able to de-select it for an EU device.
Symptoms: Survey works fine, detects all the APs as one would expect, acquires channel of the AP but will not connect - it just stays there sending a few Tx frames every 5', receives nothing at all.
How long did you wait? DFS is the reason why sometimes you have to wait long enough for two devices to initially connect.

All the previous devices (sourced from German exporters) without the (EU) next to their name are able to deselect DFS operation and adjust region settings (as well as select test_mode). Germany is indeed part of the EU though, so i can only suppose that the new one is just that...a 'new v1.1 variant' being sold and/or stocked accross the EU from a time period onwards..With regards to DFS; APs operating on channel 136 (with live links of over a week), said CPE configured as a client wouldn't connect for over 10' per case...

Yes. But since people abused it regularly and thus created problems with interferences on weather radars and even military radars, the EU decided to tighten the thumbscrews. They even planned to seal firmware completely, so only the manufacturer could access it, but so far this couldn't be enforced (yet!). Therefore, expect future versions of EU firmware to be castrated of functions not useable in our legal sphere. It is a pure political question, not a technical one.
BTW: this is also the reason why CPEs and WBSs prompt on first installation and region changes with an agreement note that those devices are to be setup by a professionals only. Currently, the manufacturers of such devices are forced to remove functions which aren't allowed by regulatory provisions.

Indeed this is the case R1D2, as has been discussed in these forums a multitude of times already and you being out outmost value in explaining the reasons why such policies have an incremental tedency to be enforced.
In the context of my original question though I can't see why having picked up the signal from the AP this particular brand new sealed CPE which is the only one I acquired recently will not connect to the aforementioned older CPEs factoring in the DFS and everything..I guess I'll give it another few tries before taking this one with the supplier in case he has something to chime in.

Make sure to wait at least 5 to 10 minutes for initial connection. I had to wait this time with a tablet connecting to a (non-EU) CPE510 until it succeeded.

Fiddled around w/ settings, let it renegotiate for about an hour, yet still a no-go...Last attempt will be moving client CPE to very close proximity to AP CPE...

Weird. Did you try to set factory defaults on the non-EU AP already? Maybe there is a setting which disappeared in the EU model ...

There are several settings which have indeed been left out of the (EU) model. Having said that though I can't think of any setting which could have such a detrimental effect on achieving and accepting ap/client handshake.
All the "non(EU)" CPEs have had their settings set to factory defaults at some point during initial setup and/or upgrade to v.2 of the PharOS firmware. Since at this point most of the these are already serving residential points of internet access, I'm unable to take them down for further rollback and testing, hence I decided to take the new (EU) CPE very close a distance to a "non"(EU) one and see how it behaves instead.

So I moved the (EU) client literaly opposite the non(EU) AP and managed to get a theoretically maxed out -i.e. 300mbps- connection. Will conduct further tests and report back in due time.
