Hello, I have TP-link CPE210 V1.1. I want it to use as wireless router. I connect it to my router and set static wan ip, Then it works fine until I unplug it from poe. When it starts I can connect to wifi but no internet access (I tried changing dns to 8.8.8.8 and it worked untill It was unluged from poe again. With dynamic wan settings it works fine but with static doesn't. Firmware upgrade did not help.

What do you mean with "use as wireless router"? The CPE210 is an AP, not a router (although it has an "AP Client Router" mode, but then WAN is the wireless link to an AP, not wired to a router). Therefore there is no WAN IP in AP mode which could be set statically, only a LAN IP.

I use both, CPE210s and CPE510s with static IP w/o any problem. Can you reach the web UI through a wired connection after setting a static IP, saving the config and a power-cycle?

My question was: Can you reach the web UI (of the CPE210) through a wired connection after setting a static IP, saving the config and a power-cycle?

Yes I can reach web UI after power cycle. To me it looks like DNS problems, but not from main router side.

Is there a specific reason to use AP router mode instead of AP mode if you are connecting the CPE to a main router rather than to a DSL/cable modem directly? AP router mode is meant for WISP applications if no main router exists at all, so I wonder what's the desired purpose to have two cascading routers.

Anyway, setting a static IP and DNS permanently in AP router mode over a power-cycle works for me. Please post a screenshot of the Network settings for WAN, LAN and DHCP, so we can compare the settings.

We want to separate network from main. It should only be used by wireless barcode scanners. My settings works for other brand unit, so I don't think that settings are bad. Maybe broken unit. never had another one to try.

Then AP router mode makes sense. Did you set the DNS twice (in WAN settings and in LAN settings, the latter just for DHCP leases)? Saved config? Checked again after a reboot/power-cycle that settings are permanent?
