Hello everybody,

I am new here and also new to CPE stuff.

I want to connect 2 buildings with distance of about 1km

Site1 > to > Site2

----

At Site1 I have TP-LINK Archer D2 router and I want to connect it directly to CPE210 and connect to Site2 with CPE210.
For that purpose do I always ON the PC at Site1 end? Or we can directly connect CPE210 with router without PC involvement?

On Site2:
Is it possible to make CPE210 as a hotspot? or I need to must have router after CPE.

----

Possible?
Archer D2 router >> CPE510_AP ))))) (((( CPE510_client << laptops

Please suggest me any best possible setup and devices.

thanks in advance.

Thank you stupidbird,

So we must have router (like TL-WA901ND) at receiving end to connect WIFI devices.

If it is mandatory can you please suggest me any longest range router (like 500ft).

500ft maybe beyond the ability of indoor AP/Router. But for outdoor AP such as TL-WA7510N/TL-WA7210N it's just a piece of cake. However, communication is bidirectional. Mobile devices(Laptop, smartphones) can communicate to others no longer than around 100m as a result of limited transmit power. Therefore even the AP can cover more than 100m makes no sense. Would you mind to tell us your hotspot requirement in site 2?

Thank you stupidbird,

We have a big double story home (300ft each side), want to share wifi at every corner.

We can use repeaters but I want to use single router if possible.

Never place a router at the end, 901 @birds suggestion, is a AP, if you place a router, you will have the issue of double NAT, to avoid double nat, in case you deploy a router to get the 4 extra ethernet ports to connect more devices you have 2 options set STATIC ip on it, or set router, on AP mode by disabling dhcp and connecting to any ethernet port
