ER6020 PPTP VPN Fails to Work when second WAN is added

Hi,
I've managed to set up PPTP VPN on the TP-Link ER6020 that works well. However, when I add a WAN 2 for load balancing, my VPN server stops working as well. Clients are unable to connect.
Not sure what the WAN has to do with the VPN. I don't want to access the VPN using WAN 2. Is there anything I can do to fix this issue?
