I have a network with an ER605 router, to which are connected a TL-SG1428PE switch, two EAPs (an EAP650 and an EAP610), and an OC200 controller. I'm trying to configure two SSIDs and two LANs with different IP addresses: 192.168.0.1/24 for the default LAN (ID 1) and 172.16.0.1/16 for the IoT LAN (ID 176). Initially, everything goes well: devices obtain an IP address and connect to the internet. But after several hours, devices connected to the IoT network lose their connection (they no longer have an IP address), and some devices on the default network also lose their connection (IP address loss). I tried putting the IoT SSID on the same LAN as the default SSID (192.168.0.1), but I have the same problem: IP address loss. I've noticed that on the default LAN (192.168.0.1), the EAP650 loses the connection most often. Clients connected to the EAP610 are less likely to lose their connection. All firmware is up to date.

Does anyone have a solution?

  @Peaulixs

you have overlapping untagged ports on your switch.  Go through them again and make sure that only 1 vlan exists on a untagged port.

Ports going to access points should be untagged 1, tagged 20 and 172
Same for the port going to the ER650

The access points will assign clients onto the correct vlan through its own uplink depending on the vlan tag you assigned the SSID.

Hi @Peaulixs

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

You can try this guide and double-check your VLAN config. It indeed has conflicts and errors.

  @GRL It doesn't work even after better reseating the ports. After several hours, the loT clients end up being disconnected and no longer reconnect, and the default network clients also end up being disconnected.
