Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.3_20241121

Hi!

First I thought my trouble were based on the Omada OC200 pre-release update, but it seems to be related to the router firmware, after rollingh back to 1.2.2 everything seems to be fine again, so I wanted to share my three problems:

1.) about 24 hours after sucessfully updating the ER8411 from 1.2.2 to 1.2.3 my primary WAN (1G Port 5) "lost" its IP and didn't get it back via DHCP. So I called ISP Support who updated the cablemodem and we checked everything for hours. Other devices get IPs, just the 8411's WAN/LAN5 didn't. So i took a SPF+ module and set up the corresponding MAC for SFP+/WAN1 and got my IP...

Had to reconfigure NAT for the OC200 and

2.) My VPN Connections were gone. The IPSec tunnels were up under Status, but were shown to be configured (change interface). When creating new ones, the error about overlapping popped up, so they were still there. Solved that Problem with pushing config on the 8411 again (force provisioning). Then I could reconfigure VPNs

3.) Today - 48 hours later, the tunnels were locked, I didn't see any other site in Omada, didn't reach my IP from any other sites, but internet access from inside out worked. I rebooted the controller, the router, the switch in between, took the cablemodem offline, etc. without any success. Configured my IP as an alias address fot the interface. Nothing. After disconnecting and reconnecting the interface in decive-tab, everything came back to normal.

So I thought it is a bug related to the ER8411 firmware 1.2.3, not the OC200 firmware and rolled back to 1.2.2 that worked flawless for months.

  @Wienumgebung

I have been running my 8411 on 1.23 beta and 1.23 final (the exact same build and release number) since the beta in december.

I have 4 WANs, site-to-site and client-to-site VPNs, an expansive network downstream, all sorts of gateway and switch ACLs, 4 remote sites, and i only had problems on the latest oc200 controller beta.  As soon as i rolled back to the stable controller from january, no more issues.  Other than that, i havent had any issues with my 8411 on the 1.2.3 firmware for 3 months now.

All of the issues i saw were due to the particularly bad controller beta, i lasted about 1 day on it before i rolled that back and had a nice stable network again.
