Deal all,

I am wondering if it is possible to combine an EAP650 (ceilling) with an EAP615 (wall) in one mesh system running on an oc200.

would seamless roaming work as well?

thx

Thanks for that info. EAP615-wall supports mesh.

This info can be found from the release note of version 1.2.3.

For this kind of info, such as new features supportivity, you may check from the release note of the products' firmware release note. They are all updated.

Hi @Seef,

You can use different model APs for the "mesh" as long as they support it.  The TP-Link web site has conflicting information regarding the EAP615-Wall (sited below), but I'm guessing that it currently does not support mesh.  Seamless roaming is supported on both the 650 and 615-Wall.

The Omada Mesh Devices page currently lists the EAP-615-Wall

The EAP-615-Wall datasheet currently shows that it does not support the Omada Mesh

  @Vincent-TP

Thank you for your quick response.

With the latest firmware for the EAP615 i was able to set up a standalone mesh network with a EAP650

No controller. Only using the Omada app.

ER605 --> POE switch --> EAP650 (main AP) --> EAP615

works well with fast roaming enabled

But: all the options the APs have in "single mode" are gone in the mesh mode.

Hi  @Seef

Thanks for your feedback.

Which features are you referring to?

Generally, controller has more features than standalone mode.
