Feature Request: Scheduled Client Blocking

Feature Request: Scheduled Client Blocking
Feature Request: Scheduled Client Blocking

I'd like to be able to schedule the TP Link Omada to block my children's MAC addresses between certain times and/or certain days. Having to manually do this all the time is tiring.

Scheduled access needs to be addressed within the SDN interface in more ways than just scheduled SSID access.

I saw a thread pertaining to the same subject but was closed.

Thanks, Regards,

James

Hi  @710james

You can do with gateway ACL feature.

Below are the key steps:

1. Give the child's phone a fix IP address;

2. Create an IP group for the child's phone;

3. Create a time range profile;

4. Create a gateway ACL for the child phone, the config page is as below:

Yeah the thing is, this is a more complicated approach rather than the simple request I made.

I have made those rules and yes while this works, it is a much more complex way of blocking the kids from 7:30pm until 8am on weekdays and 10pm until 6am on weekends.

If you have a simpler solution that would be awesome. smiley

Also another neat thing would be to enable this feature for the MacGroup as well. So we can do it by mac address and filter certain mac addesses between certain times rather than having to assign an ip address to each device you could just throw all the mac addresses in a group
