Hi  @Babun-Sikder

For performance reasons, except for the OC400, all other hardware controllers have removed this feature .

  @Vincent-TP

Dear TP-Link Omada Team,

I recently upgraded from the OC200 to the OC300 for performance reasons, expecting the same set of features and capabilities. However, I was informed that a key feature has been removed from all hardware controllers except the OC400 in the latest update. This is quite disappointing, especially considering that this feature is essential for businesses like ours.

Removing important functionality without prior notice is not acceptable. If this trend continues, I will be forced to consider alternatives such as UniFi for my network needs.

I hope you can reconsider this decision and provide a more business-friendly approach to these updates.

Controller Version: 5.15.20.26 (OC300) Router: ER7206 V2.2.0 Switches: SG2428P v5.30 and SG2210P v5.20 Access Points: 2 × EAP610 Network Setup: Dual WAN (Jio/Airtel) Camera Setup: NVR2016H & 6 Cam

Today my VPN tunnels "broke"

They worked fine, until this morning, when I realized my desk-phone wasn't working. So I took a look on my OC200 to see:

Tunnel are "up" in VPN Status, but neither are the other sites reachable nor any devices there...

  @Wienumgebung

strange behaviour:  Traffic was blocked on the gateway (8411), gateway reboot didn't help. disconnect+reconnect the corresponding WANport did the trick. very strange. Took me 5 hours to get online again ;(

There seem to be some bugs in there...

OK. seemed to be a problem with the 8411 Firmware 1.2.3. Reverted to 1.2.2 now.

Saturday

Thanks, @Vincent-TP. I have responded to the ticket related email and shared required information. Will follow-up further via the same channel.

Additional query reg. Application Analysis - Users tab; how much of a performance compromise does this lead to?

Since this has been one of the selling points for the controllers all along, don't you think it is work the inclusion - even if it's with a warning banner or something for the users to be aware that enabling it might have performance impact?

In my case, I use Omada for my home + home office setup and having this feature helps me monitor certain consumption patterns on both ends and keep required controls. In the past I had switched from Linux based controller to hardware based one, but changes such as this would only devalue the hardware controllers, if this is where the TP-Link is headed.

P.S.: I love the UI uplift. But said that, I'd rather have a 'meh' UI with feature rich controller, instead of making feature compromises.

Thanks for your feedback. You mentioned that disconnect and reconnect the WAN port fixed the issue, why did you download the firmware?

Did that issue happened again?

@Clive_A  FYI

I'm not really sure, if the reconnect permanently solves the problem. The firmware is downloaded automatically as I joined the Early Access Program, to get the ES205GPs work properly. Usually your EA-FW is fine! Today the 8411 did the update again. It works right now. I'll come back to you or @Clive_A if I get in trouble again;) Thank you!

@Vincent-TP; @Clive_A I really can't tell if it is an issue with the OC200 Controller or the ER8411, but it seems to be a bunch of issues: 1.) NAT gets lost on at least one gateway (ER8411) Other Sites canno longer Connect after a certain time 2.) VPN stops working or even is removed from the configuration... 3.) Some configs seem to be possible, but don't work... Sometimes it looks like the controllers settings are not commited to the router... My "core" network has three sites, two with 8411, one with a 7206. Each site has 3-6 vlans, tunneled as needed, the two sites with the 8411 have 2-3 WANs. All I want is a stable connection between the sites... On Main Site (where the oc200 is), the NAT Rules allow all Sites to access the controller, but they can't reach it. What goes wrong here?
