Firmware Version: 1.1.1 Build 241127 Rel.76336n

Dear TP-Link Team @Clive_A ,

I have two NVRs:

  1. NVR1008H
  2. NVR2016H

I am using third-party cameras like CP-Plus and Tapo. The NVR2016H detects motion from all cameras and properly displays motion events on the VMS. However, the NVR1008H is not detecting any motion events in the VMS, even though it is using the same Tapo/CP-Plus cameras.

The only events detected by the NVR1008H are camera online/offline status, which also appears in the VMS. Motion detection does not work at on this NVR(NVR1008H).

Could this be a firmware issue? Please provide a solution or guidance on how to resolve this.

Hi @Babun-Sikder

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

We cannot guarantee third-party compatibility.

At least from what have observed, the issue does not occur on VIGI cameras with the VMS.

VIGI NVR or VMS was originally designed for the VIGI series.

Do you observe the same behavior on the VIGI camera? And we are aware that CP-Plus has a compatibility issue. We have reports coming in all the time regarding this model.

Hi TP-Link Team,

Thanks for your response. I also have a VIGI C400HP-2.8, and it has the same motion detection issue with NVR1008H, while it works properly with NVR2016H.

Since this happens even with a VIGI camera, could this be a firmware issue with NVR1008H? Please advise.

If your team needs to check remotely, I can provide access.

If you say so, will consult this with the test team to reproduce. Remote if necessary.
